MG was a very tough man and did not have tolerance for laziness, indiscipline and dishonesty. Like he says: My Ahimsa would not tolerate the idea of giving a free meal to a healthy person who has not worked for it in some honest way." I wish we had this intolerance in today's politics. Unfortunately politicians ares getting free meals for themselves and for their next five generations.

The problem with unearned money is, it makes people (and their next generations) inefficient. People who live on unearned money better hope that it will last throughout their generation, because if it doesn't, they are in big soup as any amount of money is not enough these days, especially when it is spent lavishingly!

Third one from the last is too good …

Yeah, back then 'sacrifice' for a cause was considered a proud thing, unlike now, where it is considered 'gullible'!

While all of them are wonderful, #4 is my personal favorite for being the best – without question!

Truth, appears to have lost its value – but it will never actually lose it. On the long run, people will become more 'clear'

"My Ahimsa would not tolerate the idea of giving a free meal to a healthy person who has not worked for it in some honest way" – Mahatma Gandhi

    This is so true.

My sidebar is not updating your new posts and when I click your name in my comment section, it goes to your old blog.

This blog is not in wordpress.com as I have moved it to my own hosting provider with a .org domain name – So, may be the plugin does not support self hosted blogs! That quote is a gem, people more or less realize it within their life time.

    I loved this..

    Nice one DI..

That is something that both the people receiving the help and giving the help realize, but it takes a lot of time, for some!

Thanks to people like you, Hindus in West Bengal face the possibility of being uprooted from their homes yet again.

Why have you not passed my comment?

Now, if you can not defend something, why post it or is it that you are so concerned about your blog appearing clean from bigotry. Do you think, you are morally superior to me as I am called Islamophobe?

Wanted to share one more quote that I read during my recent visit to Delhi, this is The Gandhi Talisman – RECALL THE FACE OF THE POOREST AND THE MOST HELPLESS MAN WHOM YOU MAY HAVE SEEN AND ASK YOURSELF, IF THE STEP YOU CONTEMPLATE IS GOING TO BE OF ANY USE TO HIM. WILL HE BE AbLE TO GAIN ANYTHIG BY IT? WILL IT RESTORE HIM TO A CONTROL OVER HIS OWN LIFE AND DESTINY? IN OTHER WORDS, WILL IT LEAD TO SWARAJ OR SELF RULE FOR THE HUNGRY AND ALSO SPIRITUALLY STARVED MILLIONS OF OUR COUNTRYMEN? THEN YOU WILL FIND YOUR DOUBTS AND YOURSELF MELTING AWAY.

I had tears in my eyes after reading this. So powerful…

Thanks for that wonderful quote… He was truly a visionary and this quote proves that he cared about the most downtrodden as well… Difficult to find anyone even utter such sentences today!
