My eBook: A Companion to Tourist/Travel Guides for India, has been Published!!

What can you do in India besides visiting regular tourist places?

My eBook – “India: 55 Must See Places & 50 Must Do Things” addresses this crucial but often overlooked question.  It’s not a travel/tourist guide with information on places to visit, but it is a happiness guide that gives information on interesting things you can do, when you visit India. It’s a non-fiction guide book and it gives all the info that a tourist guide doesn’t. It’s a good companion book to a proper travel guide to India.

  • You can buy My book, “India: 55 Must See Places & 50 Must Do Things” from this Amazon Kindle product page. You can also buy it from Kobo, B&N, Google Play Books, etc. Just search with the title or author name.

Don’t we all wish we knew someone in a place we are about to visit, so that we can  get to know some exciting & unique things there? Don’t we wish we could do something other than visiting the regular tourist places? Don’t we wish we knew what local people did to keep themselves amused and entertained? Don’t we wish we knew all this before traveling to a new place?

That’s why I have written this book – I am sure foreigners traveling to India shortly/planning to visit India sometime soon, will find it useful.

This book is short (10,700 words) and to-the-point, but long enough to convey the message effectively.  It can be read pretty quickly.

People can also use this book to evaluate if they would want to make that trip to India or not.

I have published this eBook on the Amazon Kindle platform, as I expect my readers to be from the countries where Amazon has a strong presence. You don’t need a Kindle to read this book (although it’s an excellent option) – you can read it on a tablet/mobile (Android, iOS), PC, web browser, etc. using the free Amazon reading apps. The various reading options for Kindle eBooks can be found here.

You can click on the book image (on the Amazon product page) in order to read a sample (the first few pages). Amazon allows customers to return eBooks within 7 days from their purchase date, just in case you don’t like it. If you have any questions, do leave a comment below and I’ll try to answer.

Listening to songs, like the below-embedded one (set in rural India), is among the various tips mentioned in the book. See if you like it –

Go ahead and buy it – A little $ can make your expensive trip worthwhile and more enjoyable than you can imagine 🙂

Congratulations! Great work! I am sending this link to my sons now!

I had not heard/seen this song until now. The Rajasthani dance is beautifully photographed! Esha Deol looks nice. She is a dancer anyway!

I had thought you would play ‘aaj may oopar, aasmaan neeche’!

    1. Rajesh K

That ‘aaj mein oopar, aasmaan neeche’ can be played after the book becomes a best-seller 🙂

Hearty congrats! 😀 You are phamous!!
Now let me go check it out!

P.S.: I’m curious. Why this song? There are lots more songs announcing happiness.

    1. Rajesh K

I love the energy of this song. Have you listened to the audio-only version of this song in raaga.com or music.raag.fm?> It’s too good. I saw the video only on the day I embedded the song here, but I loved the audio and have been listening to it for a long time! I like the Indian feel (to the music) and the depth of the voice in this song.

  20. Zephyr

Congrats, Rajesh. I am sure you will publish your short story collection soon too. Wishing the book all the success!

    1. Rajesh K

      Thanks zephyr 🙂

I think, that short-story collection will take a long long time to get published. I have just finished one story out of 15! Besides, one needs to get a new idea for each story, and feel creative while writing it. Anyway, I will try to finish it, but I am not focused on any time frame 🙂

    1. Rajesh K

Thanks, but this is no achievement. Anyone can write and publish their own eBooks today…

  22. Reema

Wow!! congrats!! will download and read it surely! you should write a guide post for us bloggers how to self publish an ebook.

    1. Rajesh K

Oh, it’s so simple. You can just write your eBook in MS Word and upload it in Amazon KDP along with a cover image. You can use their cover creator to create that cover image, if you want.
