Dholavira, Gujarat, West India is one of the five largest Harappan (Indus Valley Civilization) sites. You can catch a glimpse of how our ancestors lived before 4000 years (26 BCE to 14 BCE). Spread over 250 acres (120 acres within a fortified city-boundary), there was a citadel/castle at the center and houses in geometric arrangement. Houses were made of stones (unlike other Harappan sites) and the city had massive water conservation reservoirs/channels.
