Online Hindi Movies Streaming Service: EROSNOW

Why is Deepika Padukone so serious in this song? Can’t she smile a bit? πŸ˜›

Eros International is an Indian movie production & distribution company and their online movie streaming & membership site isΒ EROSNOW. As you might be aware, with the increase in Internet bandwidth/speed, online streaming of movies through monthly/yearly membership has become very popular in the west [Think Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc.]. EROS International has launched such a service for Hindi (and some regional language) films in many countries around the world, including India and US.

In this model offered by EROSNOW, consumers can either subscribe for one month plan or they can opt for movie rentals. If they opt for monthly plan, they can stream any number of movies (from their catalog), and up to two users (family members, for example) can stream two different movies, simultaneously. Some movies can also be downloaded. In the rental model, consumer pays per each movie that they want to be streamed, for a limited period of time.

The unlimited monthly membership plan for a year is priced at Rs. 199 per month (In India) and the movie rentals depend on the individual movie. I guess not all movies are available for rentals. On the other hand, some movies are available for free streaming over the net for both members/non-members. Users can see the movies on their computer, mobile or tablet after downloading appropriate Apps from EROSNOW.

As an added attraction, they have an online music streaming service that can be accessed by anyone. They have a good collection of Hindi songs, especially latest ones. I listened to a couple of songs online from their site, the quality is good.Β I downloaded their Android app (apps are available for iOS and Kindle Fire too) in my mobile and watched a movie trailer. The quality was good.

I think their subscription model is a good choice for users who watch movies frequently and prefer to watch movies that they want to (on-demand), instead of watching anything that is shown on the TV. It is also a good option if you want to watch movies from anywhere, using a mobile device and 3G network.

The only issue in India is, the cost of bandwidth adds up. But if you have a BSNL unlimited broadband connection or something similar, the cost will be less. Maybe users can have a look at the movies listed on their site and try streaming a couple of free movies (yes there are many free movies in their database too), before deciding on the subscription. I guess people living abroad might also find it useful, especially since bandwidth is available in plenty there, I hear.

Also, have a look at their Youtube channel where they have uploaded many video songs. The link for EROSNOW movie streaming service has been provided in the beginning of this article.

BTW, this is a sponsored post. Yes, I know you guys are jealous, but what to do… the popularity of my blog seems to be on the rise πŸ˜€ I even rejected a couple of (other) sponsored post requests, recently πŸ™‚ I accepted this because I like their product/service and I think it’ll be useful to readers. Besides, direct movie streaming from producers/distributors will reduce piracy.

Yes, but some BSNL unlimited plans are fine. Aircel has a 3G prepaid plan (1GB) for 65 rupees or something, valid for 3 days. Sufficient to watch two movies, I guess. I think Internet will become faster and more affordable in future.

This is interesting for movie buffs! I don’t seem to watch movies that much. Unless I hear/read good review, I don’t have the guts to sit through the movie!

    Enjoy your popularity!

I am also very selective about movies. They have a good collection of old movies (amithab bacchhan and others) that may not be available elsewhere so easily. Of course, this service will be more useful to people who watch movies frequently or are willing to watch movies freq.

Hi Rajesh, this sounds interesting. Thanks for letting us know, I was not aware of this.

Btw…I will email you a list of books, both classics and modern ones for your reading list. I have not forgotten but just been super busy with my students’ assignments.

What about the speed? Will streaming work? I sometimes stream tv shows from the internet and find the speed is very slow . I have a bsnl connection.

If you are on BSNL unlimited plan, they will offer certain GB of bandwidth at good speeds and then reduce the speed after that is spent. In the beginning of the month/billing period, you’ll definitely be able to stream movies. Try streaming one of the free movies in this site at the end of the month, for checking if it will work with your connection. If the quality is fine during the month end, it will be fine during all other times.
