‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ Movie Review

Bharat Ane Nenu’ Telugu movie review.
It’s a difficult task to review movies like these. At one side, they hold the viewer’s attention successfully and entertain us. So paisa-vasool.
But on the other side, there is absolutely no attempt to be even slightly realistic. I understand it’s difficult esp. with a super-hero like Mahesh Babu.
I now understand why there are no super-heroes like Batman, Super Man, etc. in India. Our heroes are as good as, or even better than, fantasy characters abroad.
Maybe we prefer to live our fantasies realistically?
Hmm… 🙂

PS: The story goes like this: An Indian-born youth (Mahesh Babu), educated in London for most of his school/college life, returns to India after his father’s death. Since his father was the C.M. of undivided A.P., the party heavy-weight (Prakash Raj) decides to make Mahesh the new C.M.
The new C.M. takes full control of the party and retains his C.M. post and does great good for ppl. despite the ultra-heavy odds stacked against him.
Of course, that’s quite a simple task for a super-hero like Mahesh Babu 🙂

Film industry thrives on make- believe films that give a happy relief to the masses mostly struggling in life and for Telugu films fantasy is staple.
The do-good characters from a poor rural background freeing poor people from the machinations of a vile zamindar is the time tested plot.
